Hahaha. That is right, zero stars. Dear John was probably one of the worst books I have ever picked up. No joke. I couldn’t even make it to chapter three. I know what you might be thinking; that I’m not giving the book a chance and blah, blah, blah. But too bad. I started to read this book unsure if I would even like it at all, actually I was kind of certain I wouldn’t love it. I can’t stand cliché and predictable stories like this one. They bother me immensely. I mean, c’mon, be original! It’s not that hard!
But anyway, the beginning of Dear John was SO boring. I swear I was forcing myself to read the first chapter. Not one thing made me want to keep reading. So, I stopped reading. I didn’t even finish the book. Yes, that bothers me that I didn’t finish it, but I am not going to force and torture myself to try to read it.
Tell me what you think! Did you like Dear John? Hate it? Is the movie any good? Leave your comments.
(Oh, and I won’t be reading any other Nicholas Sparks books!)
