Kendall lives in a small town, Cryer’s Cross, which has dirt roads, tons of farmland and a school that can fit all four years of high school students into one classroom. Kendall is the only girl in her senior class, and Nico has been her best friend since she was little. The small town is filled with fear after a freshman girl disappears in the spring, but when someone else disappears – someone who is very important to Kendall – the town knows for sure that it isn’t just some random kidnapper. Something weird is going on here, and Kendall has to find out. Driven by her OCD-controlled brain, Kendall sets out to find the secrets of Cryer’s Cross.
Lisa McMann is the author of the Wake trilogy, so it’s obvious to say that I was pretty excited when I bought this book. Thankfully, I wasn’t disappointed. This book really kept me wanting more. I don’t want to say too much because I could risk giving too much of the plot away, especially all the components of the disappearances. The one tiny part I didn’t like was how easy it was to predict who would disappear next… But overall this book was a really, really good read and I can’t wait for the next one.

**If you haven’t read previous book, don’t read!**

In this book, Janie has to make a final choice. She has to choose which way she wants to live out the rest of her life. Either she says with Cabel, goes blind and crippled by her twenties, or she lives in isolation, and everything will be fine (or so she thinks). Janie isn’t sure which one will be the right choice. But, when a stranger finds his way into her confusing life, the future which she was going to choose changes with the new information she obtains.
I was super sad when I finished this book, because it is the last in the series (hence “Trilogy”). But I thought this was a perfect ending to Janie’s story!

Janie once again is struggling with her ability to see others’ dreams. She learned from Mrs. Stubin’s old notebook what is going to happen to her once she gets older and experiences more dreams. Janie and Cabel are both working for a secret investigation company, and both receive a mission to bust a child predator at their school. Janie uses her special ability and intuition to solve this dilemma. I thought this book was a pretty good sequel to the first book in the Wake Trilogy. I can’t wait to read the next book!

Janie Hannagan was never a normal kid. Ever since she could remember, she had seen other people’s dreams. It didn’t matter where or when, she was always sucked in, and she couldn’t stop. In the dreams, the participants begged her to help them, and there was no possible way that she can. Janie has witnessed all types of dreams. The embarrassing dream that everyone has had at least once: wearing nothing but your underwear to school or work; and also the bone chilling ones: drowning, or falling from the sky. But now, as she is ignored by her drunken mother, and is trying to get into college, Janie realizes that there is a way to control what happens in hers, and others’ dreams. And with the help of Cabel and old, blind Miss Stubin, Janie finds out how powerful she really is.
