I’m sure you guys all know that, every year, April 22nd is Earth Day! And I’m also sure that you are being bombarded with different ways to go green, save our environment, and save energy.
All of those ideas like taking shorter showers, using less paper products, recycling soda cans, water bottles and paper and unplugging electronics when not in use are great ideas.
But, I have a different idea.
If all of us book lovers go to the library to get books instead of buying books that we read only once and then never pick up again, that will save a lot of paper! I’m not saying that you can’t buy books, because I buy them too. Just don’t buy as much.
This idea might seem like it won’t work, but really it will have a big effect in the long run.
So, tell me what you think, if you’re going to try it out, etc!

Okay, so really this is just a random post, but I thought I’d let everyone know that this week is National Library Week!
I think National Library Week is really cool. It was first formed in 1958 by the American Library Association (ALA). National Library Week, this year, goes from April 11th to April 17th, 2010. It is usually the second full week of April. During this week, we are encouraged to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians to promote the use and support of our libraries. Almost all libraries across the country – school, public, academic and special – participate every year.
So be an awesome library supporter and go celebrate you’re library! :]
Or you can just go get a book or something.

-Bri

Oh and you can see facts about National Library Week here.

And visit the American Library Association’s website right here.
