In Thirteen Reasons Why, Clay Jenkins finds a box of cassette tapes recorded by his crush and classmate, Hannah Baker. She committed suicide two weeks earlier. Clay listens to the tapes through the timeframe of one night, as the others have before him. He wanders the town as he listens to Hannah’s voice, telling him the thirteen reasons why she killed herself.
There is definitely more than thirteen reasons why Jay Asher’s book is a novel you must read. As soon as opened the cover I was pulled into Clay’s emotional and painful story, and I highly suggest that you read this book right away.
