Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

My Rating: 3 stars

Grace was attacked by wolves when she was younger. Ever since then, she had this strange attachment to this one wolf with golden eyes – the one that saved her. Ever since then, she was obsessed with the wolves that lived in the forest behind her house. After a local boy was claimed to be killed by those very wolves, and Grace finds a boy with a bullet on her back porch, Grace realizes that these wolves are not just wolves…They are werewolves. She was right all along. Once Grace gets involved with the golden-eyed werewolf named Sam, there is no going back. They either have to find a “cure” for this werewolf curse or Sam will have to be a werewolf forever.
Honestly, I’m not sure what to think about this book. There were some good parts, and then there were some not so good parts. I’m not the biggest fan of the plot or the romance element of this book, but I did enjoy the characters and the tone/way it was written. It is one of those books that you just have to keep reading because you just want to know what happens at the end. Since the ending was kind of a cliffhanger, I’m probably going to read a sequel.

Hey Bri! Just finished it today and it was a good read. I agree with you; the story line was a little weak but Maggie Steifvater wrote it very well! (: And I’m going to check out your short story on my new kindle! and did you start on this story a while ago because i feel like you sent the beginning to me a while ago?
