The Time Traveler’s Wife Movie

My Rating: 1 star

The other night my mom and I sat down to watch the Time Traveler’s Wife. My mom had read the book a few months ago and said it was really good, so I was ready for a fantastic movie. But it was quite the opposite. For me, not having read the book myself, the movie was so confusing and hard to follow. I actually had my mom pause the movie so she could explain what just happened to me.
Henry, the time traveler is always traveling at random moments, sometimes he is older or younger or at present time in the movie. But it is so hard to understand what point in time he is at. That was the main thing that was too confusing. Also, the man who played Henry, Eric Bana, had no personality and didn’t bring any life to his character.
I was really disappointed with how this movie turned out. The commercials made it look so good, and I was excited because I like Rachel McAdams, who played Henry’s wife. So I suggest that if you have not read the Time Traveler’s Wife, you do not see the movie. You will not understand one thing. Hopefully the book is much better than the movie, as my mom says.

After reading The Time Travelers Wife I couldn’t wait to see the movie! To be honest, I was kind of disappointed! The book was ten times better then the movie, I felt as if they went to fast, not developing the characters enough! I would definitely read the book! It’s a great story and easier to fallow because it always had the different ages of Henry and Claire.
